Talon Rubberized Gun Grips

With the ever so popular deep concealment & single stacked polymer guns one questions keeps coming up. How do I maintain a stable grip? Even with a full size firearm if you have shot any number of rounds through one you will notice as any moisture accumulates on your hands or in bad weather conditions it is harder to maintain that stable grip. Under recoil you notice your hands starts separating, the gun starts shifting and we find ourselves readjusting our grip to maintain proper recoil control for follow up shots. Whether you are a competitor, Military, LE or just the average Joe taking personal responsibility for your own safety you will find that with the Talon Rubberized Gun Grips you will be able to maintain a better grip which will give better control over your firearm.

There have been many solutions to this problem. Manufacturers have started texturing their grips but with being polymer is has not solved the issue. With a steel frame firearm you have front and back strap checkering. This is very popular on 1911’s and also very expensive. Gun owners have tried replicating this on polymer guns with the technique of stippling. This is achieved by utilizing a soldering iron which melts the plastic leaving dimples and raised areas providing a very rough texture. This can be adjusted by sanding. Many people have had great results, however this does void your manufacturer’s warranty and if you decide to sell this later you will need to find someone that has similar tastes in grip texture. One of the mostly used methods was putting skateboard or some of the granulated skid tapes as these were available in different textures. While we have used this method successfully for many years on our competition guns this type of product tends to chew up clothing or skin.
